During the recession, the charity sector faced increasing pressure as supporters reconsidered their regular contributions. PDSA pet sponsors were no exception. We needed to remind them — in a genuine, heartfelt way — just how much their support meant to the wellbeing of the pets in their care.
Pet Sponsorship – Idea
With no photography budget and no opportunity to capture new images, we created a personalised 16‑page stitched storybook: The Adventures of…, bringing each sponsored pet to life. Written in the warm, nostalgic tone of the Beatrix Potter stories I grew up with, the book gave sponsors a charming, intimate way to see the difference they were making — strengthening their emotional connection at a time when it mattered most.
